Kylie takes an empathic, collaborative and strengths-based approach. She incorporates psycho-education with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focussed therapy.
Kylie’s areas of interest include:
Mental health: Trauma, depression, stress, anxiety, autism, ADHD, grief, and building resilience through each of these challenges.
Relationships and Families: Domestic and family violence, parenting skills, communication skills, healthy relationships.
Chronic illness and pain management: including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), and Postural Orthostatic Tachychardia Syndrome (POTS).
Christian Counselling: ministry supervision and support for lay and vocational leaders, religious trauma, church conflict resolution, and general counselling for Christians.
Occupational health: Self-care and sustainable practice, stress management, burnout prevention and recovery, multiple life-role navigation (work-life balance), and strategic planning.
Kylie is a Member of the Australian Psychological Association, and a registered Medicare provider.
