Ken has fifteen years’ experience working with children, adults, families and couples, across Government and Private settings, having provided therapy, assessment and educational services.
Ken incorporates Attachment and Schematic approaches, and works proficiently with presentations of Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Behaviour Management, and workplace conflict among others.
Renee Ferris - Director
Renee works from –

Renee has over fifteen years’ experience in private practice, these days working primarily in the area of trauma and attachment in adolescent and adult clients. In particular, Renee sees an increasing number of emergency service personnel.
Focusing her therapeutic practice and professional development on more psychoanalytic, attachment-based approaches, Renee utilises IFS, EMDR, Schema Therapy and mindfulness as the foundations of her therapeutic approach.
Philip Tam (Dr.)
Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Not taking new patients
Dr Tam works from Blaxland every second Tuesday
Dr. Philip Tam is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist with more than 15 years’ experience in both the public and private sector.
Anita George (Dr.)
Dr Anita George works with Riverlands in Blaxland on Wednesdays and Penrith on Fridays
Adult Psychiatry – Anxiety, Depression, Bi-Polar, Women’s Perinatal, Eating Disorders, Workcover, PTSD.
Greg works from Blaxland on Thursdays & Fridays
Greg Pankhurst is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience. Greg is passionate about helping people develop capability, wisdom and resilience for everyday life. Greg assists clients to get to know their own patterns of living, find their direction, and move toward their goals more consciously.
Karen works from –

Karen has over 30 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. She works in a collaborative way to help people improve the quality of their relationship and life satisfaction.
Samantha works from –
Blaxland on Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Penrith on Thursdays
Samantha has over ten years’ experience working as a School Counsellor. At Riverlands, Samantha works with children from age 11, adolescents and adults, including people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. She works with a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, self-harm, grief, and low self-esteem. She is a Board-approved secondary supervisor for provisional psychologists.
Kylie Maddox Pidgeon

Kylie Maddox Pidgeon works with adolescents, adults, couples and families to facilitate resilience and positive changes in every arena of life.
Regina works from –
Blaxland on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Regina is a Clinical Psychologist and has worked in private practice, schools, hospitals and forensic settings. She is proficient in treating children, adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, attachment issues and trauma.
Mental Health Occupational Therapist
Lorrie is available in Penrith on Mondays
Lorrie is a Mental Health Occupational Therapist with 15 years’ experience. She has worked therapeutically with clients, teams and organisations across NSW health and the non-government organization sector.
Lorrie is the developer of the ‘Key Resilience’ Program which has recently won an award within the childcare sector for supporting mental health and wellbeing in children.
Arshia works from –
Penrith on Monday, Friday & Saturday
Arshia has extensive experience working alongside individuals with complex needs and their families. Arshia has worked with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and different age groups, from adolescents through to geriatrics. Using a person-centered approach he has worked with clients who have presented with a variety of genetic, neurodevelopment, neurodegenerative, psychiatric and behavioural challenges.

Russell is a Registered Psychologist with extensive experience providing support to individuals, couples and families in the Penrith & Blue Mountains area since 2002. Russell’s uses his experienced and evidence based, focused strategies to help people take positive steps to achieve their goals in healthy ways.

Debbie is a Registered Psychologist, having worked as a School Counsellor for the past decade, including a Counsellor Exchange experience in Vancouver, Canada. With a genuine interest in people’s stories, Debbie is conscious of how life experiences have shaped unique individuals and enjoys working alongside the client throughout their therapeutic journey.

Sally has over 15 years of experience working in the Mental Health Sector. She is passionate about examining systemic issues that can impact inclusion, fairness, and diversity, and works hard with individuals to help them to overcome barriers to living their best, authentic, life.

Julie works from –

Julie has experience working with a variety of presentations including self-harm, suicide risk, complex trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, Post Traumatic Stress, Personality Disorders, alcohol and substance use issues and anger management. Julie has a particular interest in the area of trauma and recovery.

Wame has over ten years experience working with individuals with complex physiological and emotional conditions. Wame’s interests lie in the areas of trauma, depression, as well as anxiety disorders, stress, work related issues and relationship difficulties.
Reuben works from –
Penrith on Fridays & Saturdays
Reuben is a Provisional Psychologist who has extensive experience working with young people between the ages of 12-25, having developed a youth friendly approach that allows young people to feel safe and accepted.
Mia works from –

Mia is a Provisional Psychologist who provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults facing living with anxiety, depression, transitions and adjustments, stress management, and relationship difficulties.
Rachelle is a first point of contact at Riverlands Therapy Services, occupying the role of front of house receptionist, having worked in Medical Administration for many years. Rachelle also supports Psychiatrist Dr Philip Tam as his Personal Administrative Assistant at Riverlands, on Tuesdays when he attends our practice.

With years of experience in medical administration, and liaising with public health bodies to identify and address the needs within a community, Sarah looks forward to supporting your experience at Riverlands.

Natalie is a first point of contact at Riverlands Therapy Services, with over 10 years’ experience as a medical secretary working within various medical specialist practices. She provides a high standard of care to clients, referring practitioners and our team at Riverlands Therapy. Natalie looks forward to welcoming you for your appointment.
Natalie works with Riverlands on Wednesdays
Rosie is our resident Riverlands therapy dog, and the cutest and most popular member of our team! At almost two years of age, she is surprisingly calm and always friendly, great at helping people feel better, especially if they are sad.
Rosie assists Psychologist Renee from Penrith on Mondays and Thursdays, and Blaxland on Tuesdays & Fridays. She often accompanies Psychologist Ken on Wednesdays in Penrith.
