Arshia has extensive experience working alongside individuals with complex needs and their families. Arshia has worked with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and different age groups, from adolescents through to geriatrics.
Using a person-centered approach he has worked with clients who have presented with a variety of genetic, neurodevelopment, neurodegenerative, psychiatric and behavioural challenges.

Arshia provides evidence based, focused psychological strategies to clients who present with depression, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Intellectual Disability, substance misuse, employment related difficulties, bullying, stress and emotional regulation challenges.
His therapy style includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, skills training and other strategies to assist people to improve their quality of life.
Prior to becoming a Psychologist, Arshia had previously worked as a disability support worker, team leader at residential support services and community welfare services.
After completing his Psychology qualifications, Arshia worked at the immigration detention centre, as an Employment Psychologist, Family and Community Services (Behaviour support specialist) and then Youth Justice NSW (custody).
Now in private practice, he is passionate about assisting people overcome barriers to help create a fulfilling life and achieve their full potential.
Arshia enjoys bush walking, spending time with his family, and his dogs.
Arshia works from our Penrith rooms on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
