Professional Background

Lynley began her career working for the NSW disability service provider, Ageing, Disability and Homecare where she developed a great appreciation and respect for people with intellectual disabilities and the people who care for them. The role also introduced her to the range of needs experienced by neurodiverse people and to the importance of collaboration in providing a therapeutic service.

After 6 years, Lynley transitioned to a role as a school counsellor at an Christian K-12 school where she was privileged to provide support to children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, familial, relational, behavioural and life challenges. At the same time Lynley also began to work in a private practice setting, where she was pleased to continue working with children and adolescents as well as to commence working individually with adults.

Lynley is pleased to join the Riverlands team after a family tree change saw her family move from Sydney to the Blue Mountains in 2023.
